Can I bring guide dogs onto the site?
Yes you can bring guide dogs on to our site. Please inform the Site Manager before hand where possible.
Can I bring my DofE group to Thirtover Place?
Yes DofE Groups are welcome at Thirtover Place. Please speak to the Site Manager to make a booking tailored to your group.
Can we purchase souvenirs when we visit?
Thirtover Place operates a shop which is opened at the request of each visiting group. It sells souvenirs and gifts as well as sweets. Outside these The shop can be opened all year round. Please contact the Site Manager to arrange a time for your group.
Do I have to be offsite by a certain time?
Yes depending on when your booking is depends on your time of departure. During term times normal weekend departure is by 5pm unless otherwise stated by the Site Manager. During the school holidays normal departure is by 12 noon unless otherwise stated by the Site Manager.
How do I book activities?
All activities are arranged through the Site Managers Office. The current price list can be emailed to you on request. Thirtover Place organises all the instructors for the activities that require them.
How do I get to Thirtover Place?
Google map ‘Thirtover Place’ and you will find us there. Our postcode is RG18 9JD, on Ashmore Green Road. Look for the large WHITE signs outside the driveway. Please note that Thirtover Place is not accessible via Thirtover Road.
Is WIFI available on site?
Yes WIFI is available for the groups using the main house.
What parking is available when we come camping?
During the camping season the Summer Car Park is used for drop off, pickup and parking for all camping guests, as well as activity users. House users use the main car park for their drop offs, pick ups and parking. This allows for a smooth flow of traffic.
What time can I access the house and camp site’s to start setting up?
You can arrive from 2pm on the day of your arrival. At the end of your stay during school term we ask that you depart by 5pm. If your stay is during the school holidays you must have departed by 12pm. However if these times are a problem please contact the Site Manager and an alternate time may be possible. This may incur a small charge.
When can I book the house or a camping site?
You can book at any time. Booking is on a first come basis. Provisional bookings are held for 21 days. They are confirmed on receipt of the booking form and deposit. For upto date information on the bookings please visit the Booking diary page.
When do I need to send my Residential Event Notification?
Only groups visiting form outside of Berkshire Couty now need to send us a copy of their REN form.
Where do I get a copy of your ‘Terms and Conditions’?
Terms and Conditions are printed on the back of all booking forms. They contain important information, please be sure to read them.
Where do I get the booking forms from?
Current booking forms, price lists, activity and casual booking forms are available by emailing the Site Managers office Office.
Where do I get the keys from?
On arrival the person in charge of the group must report to the Site Managers Office. There they will be briefed on the site, any paperwork completed and shown to their site or the house. If as requested an arrival time has been given, then house users are generally greeted there.
